Daler Mehndi was born in Patna, Bihar 1967, on 18 August. He belongs to a Sikh family. He won the Voice of Asia International Ethnic in 1994, and Pop Music Contest in 1994 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Daler Singh aka Daler Mehndi is an Indian singer, songwriter, author, and record producer. He is known for his famous album Bolo Ta Ra Ra. This supper hit album sold more than 20 million copies. After this album, Daler Mehndi gets Chanel V’s Best Indian Male Pop Artist Award and he becomes a pop star. After this album, he gives the second music “Dardi Rab Rab”, under the “Magnasound” album. And surprisingly for “Dardi Rab Rab” this song “Magnasound” album surpassed the sales of Bolo Ta Ra Ra. After that Channel V gives select him as the winner of the Channel V “Best Indian Male Artist Award”.

1997 is again a special year for Daler Mehndi as he released his third album “Balle Balle.” After that Channel V awarded him in Six categories.
